As a small, but growing movement, designers have mainly sold their collections through the Internet. There are very few places that one can go to view, try and then buy these ethical collections. This is where equa comes in…

Here at equa we understand that it can be frustrating walking down the high street, seeing shop after shop of the same designs produced for the mass market. We aim to provide a whole new shopping experience, from entirely ethical fashion collections to personal dedicated service; and this is not exclusive to our Camden Passage boutique, if you choose to buy online with equa you can expect the same level of service from us.

All of our designers have been carefully selected based on their ethical philosophies, and their stunning, luxurious designs.

From luxurious fair trade and organic cotton sourced from farming co-operatives in the Developing World, to organically grown English hemp, equa offers a wide range of clothing to suit women who not only desire to dress well but to purchase ethically.

Our Women’s collections include Enamore’s 1960’s hemp designs, Ciel’s luxurious fabrics, Loomstate hip organic jeans, From Somewhere’s classic cashmere and tweed shapes, People Tree’s fantastic fashion collections and Hug’s new fair trade and organic classic cut jeans. In Spring 2007 we will also stock Edun from Ali Hewson.

Our accessories range has expanded this season to include a wider collection of vegan shoes from Beyond Skin, and non-leather handbags from Canadian designer Matt & Nat. We also have our jewellery collections from Nature Creations and People Tree, and more hand-woven cotton bags from Martha Evatt and Enamore.

Our Children’s collections include ranges from Eternal Creation, Bishopston Trading, Hug and Organics for Kids.

Camden Passage is a bustling pedestrian street located just off Islington's Upper Street. Camden Passage offers a wide range of shopping opportunities & refreshments.

The boutique has been designed to reflect the clothes within it. In keeping with the ethos of equa, the interior is understated & simple offering our customers the perfect environment in which to browse our ranges. There is an underlying message in the interior design to encourage the visitor to challenge their view of the world, & reflect on the origin of their clothing.
